wood surfboards

Story

Our focus is the perpetuation of Papa He’e Nalu in it’s traditional form.  An Alai’a is a finless wooden board used by the ancient Hawaiians to ride waves, which paved the way for modern day surfing.  No fins, no foam, no fiberglass, just wood.  The goal with every custom board is to craft the finest hand-planed, performance-based traditional Hawaiian Alai’a wood surfboards.  Hands down the most eco-friendly and sustainable way of making a surfboard.
